Sharon Connor was someone who truly understood what it meant to help others.
As AACN’s former director of operations, Sharon was the consummate mentor and coach.
She was also a passionate and accomplished equestrian and quilter who died much too young at the age of 47 of breast cancer. During her dozen years with AACN, she groomed leaders for local, regional and national roles within our community, instilling in them her passion for excellence.
To honor her memory, we’ve established the Sharon Connor Fund. This fund — which supports the Excellence in Chapter Leadership Development award and provides a keynote speaker at the annual chapter Leadership Development Workshop — is one of the ways we ensure leadership development so our members will have the confidence to continually step forward and deliver the best possible care for our patients and their families.
