Whether from natural disasters or man-made events, mass casualty situations can strike anytime, anywhere. When trauma centers are overwhelmed or unavailable, injured individuals may be sent to non-trauma care facilities. As a nurse, are you ready to care for these unexpected trauma patients?

John Gallagher, DNP, RN, CCNS, CCRN, TCRN, CHSE, RRT, FAAN, FCCM

John Gallagher is a professor at Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. With a diverse and distinguished career, Gallagher has held roles such as staff nurse and clinical nurse specialist across various high-acuity environments including trauma resuscitation, surgical intensive care units, emergency departments and pulmonary step-down units. He is also a registered respiratory therapist and former paramedic, further broadening his clinical proficiency and contributions to critical care.
