Activity Summary
A new practical nursing smart phase note that can be added to throughout the nurses' shift was developed and used for consistent data sharing during rounds in a large cardiac intensive care and transplant unit. This tool decreased RN overtime by 22%, and improved provider satisfaction of communication. Nearly 90% of nurses surveyed believe the smart phase note has made practice easier and increased collaboration between ICU providers and nursing staff.
