Project Goals/Objectives

  1. To implement a mobility protocol on the surgical intensive care unit (SICU) to decrease patient length of stay
  2. To collaborate with staff nurses in learning about and using the protocol

Project Outcomes

  1. Decreased average length of stay 0.5 day
  2. This outcome resulted in a projected annual fiscal impact of $1,750,000.
