    Project Goals/Objectives

    1. To improve communication between nurses
    2. To improve patient, family and nursing satisfaction

    Project Outcomes

    1. Increased patient satisfaction 23 percent
    2. Increased family satisfaction 12 percent
    3. Increased nursing satisfaction with report received 17 percent
    4. Increased nursing satisfaction with report given 13 percent
    5. Decreased medication errors related to communication 80 percent, for a projected annual fiscal impact of $140,000
    6. Reduced falls related to communication 100 percent, for a projected annual fiscal impact of $75,928
    7. These outcome resulted in a combined annual projected fiscal impact of $215,928.
