Lisa Falcón, MSN, RN, TCRN, NE-BC, serves a two-year term as immediate past chair of the AACN Certification Corporation board of directors from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2024. She completed a two-year term as chair from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2022, and a two-year term as chair-elect from July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2020. A director from July 1, 2014, through June 30, 2018, she also served two consecutive one-year terms as secretary/treasurer from July 1, 2015, through June 30, 2017.
Falcón is director of trauma and injury prevention at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She was previously clinical nurse educator, surgical services. Falcón has over 25 years of experience in surgical critical care and trauma as a clinical nurse, clinical educator and nurse leader.

An AACN member since 1994, Falcón has served on the Continuing Education Review Panel and the AACN Nominating Committee. She also sat on the Manuscript Review Panel for Critical Care Nurse. A member of AACN's Jersey Shoreline Chapter, she was president from 2012-2014.
With a focus on improving systems for patients, nurses and the healthcare team through communication, relationships and education, she has presented locally, nationally and internationally on a wide variety of trauma, critical care and leadership topics.
Falcón earned a Master of Science in nursing education from Monmouth University in Long Branch, New Jersey, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
